UNES Consultancy conducted a Public Health Planning For Hearing Impairment (PHPHI) Training at Arziki Conference Centre in Chiromo in Nairobi. It was a one week training that ran from May 27 – 31, 2019. It was facilitated by both Local Faculties (Prof. Isaac Macharia-  Professor E.N.T; University of Nairobi, Serah Ndegwa-  PHPHI Course Co-Coordinator, University of Nairobi; Dr. P. Muriithi- School of Public Health, University of Nairobi; Ann Alice Ouma- Senior ENT Clinical Officer, Ngara Otology Centre Nairobi; Isaac Wahome- Senior ENT Clinical Officer, Kenyatta National Hospital; Zachary Wanjohi- Consultant Audiologist, Getrude’s Children’s Hospital; Mohammed Abdi- Nairobi County Coordinator of School Health Programme

and Hellen Mutuku- Teacher in charge of Machakos School for the Deaf) and International Faculties (Prof. Shelly Chadha, Responsible Officer, WHO Programme for Prevention of Deafness and Hearing Impairment, Switzerland; Dr. Diego Santana, CBM Senior Advisor for Ear and Hearing Care, Spain; Prof. Andrew Smith, PHPHI Course Co-Coordinator, LSHTM, UK and Dr Ian Mackenzie, University of Liverpool.)
