UNES conducted Echo for Life Training on June 10 – 14, 2019 at UNES Headquarters, Nairobi
UNES conducted a one week training that ran from June 10 – 14, 2019 on Echo for Life targeting; physicians with interest in cardiovascular medicine, anesthesiologists, radiologists, nurses, clinical officers, sonographers, radiographers, and registrars in training.
The areas covered included basic principles and physics of echocardiography; normal cardiac anatomy and examination; M-Mode and 2-D echocardiography; Echo assessment of systolic and diastolic function, basic and advanced haemodynamics; assessment of valvular; pericardial diseases; assessment of hypertensive/coronary heart disease and heart failure and Echo data interpretation and report writing
It was orgenized by Dr. Fred Bukachi (FB); Dr. Anders Barasa (AB); Dr. Kevin Ndede (KN); Dr. Enoch Anyenda (EA); Dr. Mohamed Jeilan (MJ) and Dr. Nchafatso Obonyo (NO)
