By Justin Njeru

The Arziki Chiromo Conference Centre in Nairobi, Kenya is hosting a five-day workshop on Business Process Reengineering for University of Nairobi Enterprises and Services (UNES). The workshop, which began on Monday, 20th March 2023, and will run until Friday, 24th March 2023, is being facilitated by a team of experts from the State Department of Public Service.

Jacqueline Owori, the lead facilitator, along with her team of Prisila Otuama and John Gakuru, are bringing their wealth of experience and knowledge to the workshop. With their guidance, the participants are expected to learn practical skills and techniques in business process reengineering that they can apply to UNES.

Business process reengineering is the process of analyzing and redesigning an organization’s business processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and agility. It is a critical aspect of organizational performance management, and the workshop is timely, considering the recent changes and disruptions in the business world.

Participants in the workshop will learn how to map out UNES’ current business processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop a strategy for reengineering the processes to achieve desired outcomes. They will also learn how to implement the reengineered processes, monitor performance, and continuously improve the processes to ensure sustained results.

The workshop is expected to be interactive, with a combination of lectures, case studies, group discussions, and practical exercises. The participants will have the opportunity to work on real-life UNES projects, providing hands-on experience to apply the skills and knowledge learned. The workshop is an excellent opportunity for UNES staff to enhance their knowledge and skills in business process reengineering, equipping them to contribute to the organization’s strategic goals.

In conclusion, the workshop on Business Process Reengineering for UNES at the Arziki Chiromo Conference Centre is an excellent initiative that will equip participants with practical skills and knowledge in business process reengineering. We hope that the workshop will achieve its objectives and contribute to UNES’ growth and success.
