UNES just conducted a Strategic Workshop with the view to Inculcate Innovative Management for Sustainable Financial Performance. It was under the theme: “Inculcating Innovative Management for Sustainable Financial Performance”. The Focus and elements were majorly on: Customer Relation and Communication, Bookstore Customer Centre; Relevance to enhancing Customer Relationships, Positioning Bookstores for enhanced Visibility and Accessibility, Efficiency and enhancement in Supply Chain Process, Bookstore Performance, Understanding Business Environment, Challenges and Mitigation Framework, Refocusing Bookstore, UNES Strategic Plan and Risk Framework.
The occasion was officially opened by John Kenduiwo- MD UNES, who challenged UNES Bookstore Management to innovatively create sustainable impact to correspond to the modern marketing dynamics keeping into view the ever changing business environment. Guest Facilitator Dr. Fredrick Adero – Director Customer Experience Centre UON. Other Facilitators; Edah Cherono-SHRO, Sam Ochieng- Marketing Officer, Geoffrey Momanyi- MSDC, Simple Ochieng –CMCO, Otieno Adero – AMB Mercy Ondigo- Assistant Accountant. Key staff members were brought on board from Head Office, Mombasa and Kisumu in a bid to bring strategic change in the respective units to enable UNES Bookstore to compete competitively regionally and globally.
